Cover Supervisor

Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Pay rate: £90–£110 per day (dependent on experience)

Location: Teesside Area

Hours: Full-time or Part-time available

Smart Education is currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools in the Teesside area. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience and make a positive impact on pupils’ learning.

Job requirements:

· Degree or higher qualification in a specialist subject (e.g., English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Languages, PE)
· At least 6 months of experience working within a UK school setting
· Confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management skills
· Excellent communication and organisational abilities
· Ability to deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and maintain pupil engagement
· A professional, positive, and adaptable attitude
· An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Role responsibilities:
· Delivering pre-set lesson materials to maintain continuity of learning
· Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
· Supporting students with their learning and engagement
· Ensuring pupils stay on task and meet learning objectives
· Reporting progress or concerns to teaching staff or senior leadership
· Promoting a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
